The Rapid Valley Fire Department hosted training this morning for the Pennington County Sheriff's Office. The class, titled 'Safe Fireground Operations for Law Enforcement,' was taught by members of the RVFD, Ellsworth AFB Fire & Emergency Services , Box Elder Volunteer Fire Department, and the Summerset Police Department.Twenty-five deputies learned about basic fire dynamics, including flow path and the fire triangle, and then about Access, Rescue, and Control. Increasingly, law enforcement officers across the country find themselves first on the scene of reported structure fires. By providing this training, we hope the deputies will be able to act in a safer and more efficient manner to help save lives and property. See MoreSee Less
